Our political leader is a pointer to kind of leadership we produce in this country. And so far you will agree that this obviously are not the best of brains in 21st century. Where global/other leaders are considering more adventurous tasks. (like how to get man into space and moon and not just to take up 'colombi' reaources meant for construction of roads and other social amenities) ours are stealing public funds Many would want to argue that the religious leaders are different, but I strongly doubt that. Check out some of the reasons, they are not different below: They went to the same school They are friends They have the same interests And they have similar or same followers So, if there followers could produce the same set of political leaders that we presently have in our political offices in a democratic system.
