Top 14 Nigerian Personalities

Nigeria as a Nation might lack some things but definitely not people, with this first edition of Gratitude Picture as a way of celebrating the Independence Day (October 1st), we’ve thought it will be okay if we celebrate tremendous faces that have promoted the image of the country in a positive ways, both at local and international levels.

About GP

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
In the midst of corruption and the low level or lack of integrity in our country, a group of Information Technologist and other stake-holders have decided to take a giant move about these rampant actions which have caused much damage to business relationships both at local and foreign scene. But this time around we are not doing the common thing which is to describe, analyze and complain about how bad the situation is or to fault who is wrong, but we’ve decided we are going to pass through a different channel with a solution called G.P. (Gratitude Picture).

WHAT THEN IS THE SOLUTION?
Yes we cannot deny that corruption is not present but what we are also certain of is that it is not all systems or people that are corrupt, so our job is to find, celebrate and immortalize those people and systems that are not corrupt.

In a simple language Gratitude Picture’s (G.P.) job can be summed up as promoting, celebrating and immortalizing good works at the Local, State and National level.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT?
In a bid to mark Nigeria’s Independence the G.P. team has decided it is a good time to launch their first ever edition of G.P. tagged Top 14 Nigerian Personalities

It will interest you to know that Nigerians indeed are Great People (another GP concept). When you visit the website www.nigeriangp.org to see the Top 14 Nigerian faces and their good works, you will agree with this fact.

I must however confess that the job of selecting the Top 14 Nigerian Personalities was an herculean one, but I doubt if you will question the selection of any of the personalities here after seeing their works, which makes the nomination to be strictly by achievements.

AND HOW WILL THAT SOLVE THE PROBLEM?
G.P. strongly hopes that by celebrating Police officers, Teachers, Employers (or Employees as the case may be), Bus – Commuters etc. who are doing something good to enhance the image of this Nation positively will be a source of motivation for others and as a result strive to emulate these TOP NIGERIANS.

VISION & MISSION
Promoting good works is our Vision.
You helping in promoting this in whatever capacity you can is our Mission.

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP
As a journalist that you are, we will need you to help us promote this idea (which we believe is a possible solution to our myriad of challenges) through the platforms that are available to you; blog, website, newspaper, radio/TV broadcast and on the social media.

Thanks for your Support
Nigeria, Good People, Great Nation!

Time Validates

Hey there. Let's set the alarm for a productive day ahead. Before diving in, let's acknowledge the date, which might vary depending on where you're tuning in from. Now, let's get to it. But first, a word on the political and economic landscape here in Nigeria. It's crucial to recognize that the political elite often prioritizes their own interests over those of the people. Trusting them blindly is akin to living in a cycle of déjà vu, where they justify their actions while contradicting the interests of the people. Remember the proposal some time back that all politicians should educate their kids within Nigeria? The dismissive response to that idea was telling. It's clear they prioritize their own convenience over the needs of the people. We mustn't be naive to think they have our best interests at heart. It's imperative for us, the citizens, to organize and protect our own interests. Unity among us is paramount, transcending divisions based on religion

The Merchant of Venice

I got to the point of deliberately using movies as an extension of my library. It was 2 weeks to the exam and the book "Merchant of Venice" would not enter my skull no matter how hard I tried, it was a book written by Shakespeare and like the usual Shakespeare style of writing this would be a bit technical also because of its settings (in literature setting means the actual place and time of an event). This literature is centred around the old Italian environment. So there were many terminologies used in English that were unclear because of the Italian twist. Don't forget it was 2 weeks before the WAEC (West African Examination Council) Exam.  The Twist - So my beautiful literature teacher got informed that there was a premiere of the Merchant of Venice book (the movie) at another school and gave us the update. It was the needed update very sure than any 'maga or fraudsters' update would rely on. It was a turning point in how I would begin seeing and interacting w
