Just like a deceptive couple at the verge of divorce, but still putting up a show of deception out there on the day of their anniversary to a wedding that have ended long before now. I expect many Nigerians who have lost faith in this Nation to still be celebrating our independence day in all hypocrisy (come to think of it, we Nigerians can be hypocritical wella - in Fela's word 'suffering and smiling').
I don't think we are at the point of celebration yet, if we must not deceive ourselves and get down to work we actually need more of work on this Nation 'Nigeria' than celebration.
Nothing to celebrate:
With millions of my brothers & sister's not able to afford good meal (living below a dollar per day).
With millions of children outside school (education too expensive them)
In a country where CAMA is more important than the lives of the followers to our religious leaders
Where politicians embezzle money for good roads to buy a car he/she can't drive on that same road.
Where an average family is the local government ( have to provide water, road, security etc.)
In a country where just mere relocation outside her is considered to be better.
Where promoters of peace and love have nothing close except in their deceptive packaging.
And lastly where few people are interested in doing the work of creating a greater Nation.
In my own opinion, let's do the work and not celebration. I will be insensitive to keep on celebrating when my brothers and sisters are in need. Nigerians are in need this is seriously not the time to celebrate but to work out progress of all in Nigeria.
I believe in the project Nigeria, it can work and it will work.
I Seun Ayilara is committed to working it
Dedicated to everyone working out her progress
