Who and what are the failed past? 3
Sometimes in 2005, After about 7 years, I temporarily stopped reading books! My brother didn't understand and wasn't pleased about what I did. He couldn't understand why I would do that, (if you have ever gained any insight at all from me, part of the persons you should applaud is my brother. He introduced me to books outside academics and played the father figure in my life). Back to the story, he couldn't comprehend why I would suddenly stop reading even though I at that time didn't fully understand also. But part of the things knowledge gathering had thought me is to pay attention to my instinct.
And at that time somehow the burning question of whether it should be more than just gathering knowledge was prominent in my thought, I knew there has to be more than that.
For instance, a professor is called a professor because he has started creating proving theories. Well, maybe not in Nigeria and Africa almost everything we do in this part of the world is for the wrong reason.
It was this period of my life that would help me thoroughly understand what knowledge is supposed to do, which is to help extract/bring out from within - Educe. It was during that process I would write my first article 'Failure/Challenges'. I can't forget that feeling and moment. The joy to know that knowledge does not leave you the same, it fills you up with relevant content to create also.
As good as that was it was not enough for me I needed more, I needed to bridge the gap between what I knew and what I was implementing. And I needed to ask myself if I was actually getting helped by this knowledge and if they were also applicable to translate my life better than it was.
What is the lesson here? Don't listen to the yesterday that just wants you to get knowledge for getting sake or for a boast of title only. You have to go beyond that to thoroughly create better tomorrow. Knowledge must and should propel you to the level where what you know and what you do tallies and to extracts/bring out from within - Educe.
To be honest with you, I am not expecting much from this generation may be the next or next or next generation.
But,
