Religion has always played a role in the fight for liberation, but not the counterfeit forms that exist today.
During the black emancipation movement, churches were often the focal point for meetings and organizing efforts. The level of involvement was so high that even oppressors did not hesitate to bomb these places of worship.
Malcolm X, a prominent leader in the movement, converted to Islam because he believed that Mecca was a place where there was no discrimination based on skin color. When a supposed religious leader chooses to remain passive and not actively participate in the struggle for freedom and equality, it is clear that their religion is fake.
True religion is always intertwined with the fight for the emancipation of its followers.
